WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts (5-3) will host Marist (3-4) on Sunday, December 4 at 2 p.m. at Patrick Gym in their only home matchup in the month of December. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. YOUTH DAY PRESENTED BY HEALTHY LIVING
Sunday's matchup versus Marist will be the Catamounts Youth Day Game presented by Healthy Living. Kids 12 and younger who arrive at Sunday's game will receive free tickets. The Indoor Turf A and B are scheduled for a variety of youth related activities, from 12:30-2:30, such as a face painter, bounce castle, dress like a Catamount station, arts and crafts, lawn games and a Healthy Living giveaway.

Vermont has won four consecutive games and are looking to make it five against Mayer Head Women's Basketball Coach
Alisa Kresge's alma mater on Sunday. The Catamounts have beat Army, Stonehill, Siena and Dartmouth, going 3-0 at Patrick Gym and 1-0 on the road. UVM has outscored opponents 254-202 over that span averaging 63.5 points per contest while allowing just 50.5. The Catamounts have been led by their defense holding three of their four opponents under 60 points and allowing just 34.3 percent shooting from the floor. This is the longest win streak under Kresge since UVM rattled off five consecutive conference wins to end the 2021-22 regular season.
VERMONT VERSUS THE MAAC CONFERENCE
Vermont holds a 33-34 record all time against teams from the current MAAC Conference, having last faced Siena in this year's TD Bank Classic Championship game. The Catamounts outlasted the Saints 57-51 in that one to claim the title. UVM has faced Marist five times with a 1-4 record overall, having last faced the Red Foxes last season falling 67-50 on the road on November 14. Overall, the Catamounts have had the most matchups with Siena holding a 16-14 advantage and have a .500 or better record against four other teams, including Rider who the Catamounts last defeated on November 9, 2018, in Mayer Head Women's Basketball Coach

Alisa Kresge spent her playing days at Marist as a
Guard from 2003-2007. At Marist, she won three MAAC defensive player of the year awards consecutively in 2004-05 (Co-Defensive), 2005-06 and 2006-07 and was named to the All-MAAC Second Team during the 2006-07 season and All-MAAC Third Team in 2005-06. Kresge is ranked second on Marist's all time steals list. Kresge also is ranked number one overall with most assists in program history at 596. She holds the record for third (twice) and seventh most assists in a game with 12 (twice) and 11. After her strong playing career with the Red Foxes Kresge served as the assistant coach from 2009-2016, coaching five different MAAC Tournament MVPs, four different MAAC Players of the year, two MAAC Defensive Players of the Year, one MAAC Sixth Player of the Year and two MAAC Student-Athletes of the year.

Catherine Gilwee played 29 minutes recording three points, three rebounds and three assists. The Catamounts have a 1-4 overall record against the Red Foxes with their lone victory coming on the road in the Fairfield Tournament on December 4, 1987, by a score of 67-54.
SCOUTING MARIST
The Red Foxes were selected tied for sixth in the MAAC preseason poll with Rider, receiving 62 overall votes. Marist enters this Sunday Afternoon matchup against the Catamounts with a 3-4 record. In their last game the Red Foxes faced off against IVY League for Columbia on Thursday, December 1 falling 103-54 in that matchup. In seven games played, Marist is shooting at a 35.3 percent clip knocking down 28.4 percent of their threes and averaging 54.4 points per game. On the defensive side of the ball the Red Foxes are holding opponents to 38.2 percent from the field and just 26.6 percent from deep. They also averaging 7.3 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest. Marist is led by junior forward Zaria Shazer who is averaging 13.0 points and a team-high 6.4 boards per game to go along with 2.3 assists. Junior guard Kiara Fisher is close behind averaging 10.6 points, 3.7 boards and a team-high 3.3 assists per contest. Graduate student Kendall Krick has been a key contributor averaging 9.9 points, 3.6 boards, 2.0 assists and a team-high 2.0 steals per game.
