BURLINGTON, Vt. – Graduate guard
Josie Larkins had 19 points, eight rebounds and seven assists Wednesday as Vermont won its third straight contest 64-46 over Dartmouth in its final non-conference home game from Patrick Gym this season. With the win UVM improved to 5-4 this season while the Big Green fell to 0-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont continued its trend of fast starts Wednesday evening building a 13-4 advantage with four points apiece from juniors Emma Utterback and Delaney Richason.
- Larkins hit three downtown shots in the opening period and UVM closed the quarter on an 8-0 run to take a 24-9 lead after ten minutes. The 24 first quarter points were UVM's second highest total of the season.
- The Big Green answered back in the second quarter scoring five early points after two UVM turnovers. Another 8-0 run, capped by a Victoria Page three-pointer cut UVM's advantage to 28-22 with 4:58 to go in the quarter. In the final 2:50 of the half Richason and Maddy Smith hit three-pointers as a part of an 8-0 UVM run that saw the Catamounts carry a 16-point lead into the break.
- Larkins had eight points in the third quarter as UVM outscored the Big Green 12-11 to maintain its lead.
- Williston, Vermont native Mekkena Boyd hit a three-pointer 20 seconds into the fourth quarter to cut UVM's lead to 14 but that was as close as the Big Green would come.

- Vermont is now 3-0 this season when scoring 20 or more points in the first quarter. All three games have been at home on Tom Brennan Court.
- Tonight's attendance was a season-high 589 at Patrick Gym.
- The Catamounts had four players in double figures for the second straight game.
- In her second career start, Catherine Gilwee posted a career-high five assists.
