WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (4-4) will close out its five-game home stand tomorrow night as they host Dartmouth (0-7) at 6 p.m. Wednesday's tilt will be broadcast on AM 620 WVMT with Cooper Boardman on the call. The action will also be streamed live on ESPN+ with Rob Ryan and Bernie Cieplicki on the call.

UTTERBACK NAMED AMERICA EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Junior guard
Emma Utterback was named America East Player of the Week for the first time in her career Monday. Utterback averaged 14.5 points on 55.6% shooting as the Catamounts defeated LIU, 52-51 and Loyola Chicago, 72-62, with both wins coming at Patrick Gym. The guard hit 10-of-18 attempts from the floor and averaged 5.5 rebounds. Utterback also averaged 2.5 assists.

Sunday's victory over Loyola Chicago was a career day for the Greenwood, Indiana native. Utterback converted on 7-of-13 field goal attempts and cashed in nine free throws en route to a career-high 23 points. The junior also pulled in eight rebounds.

OLSON LEADS THE WAY FOR VERMONT
2021 America East Rookie of the Year
Anna Olson is picking up where she left of last season leading the Catamounts in scoring this year with 12.8 points-per game. She is also UVM's top-rebounder grabbing 6.4 per game. She is averaging 1.25 blocks-per game this season which is tied with Maine's Maeve Carroll for tops in America East.

LIMITING OPPONENTS TRIPS TO THE LINE
The Catamounts are averaging just 14.0 fouls-per game this season which is the 23rd fewest in the NCAA. As a team in eight games they have committed just 112 personal fouls. UVM committed a season-low eight fouls at Navy on November 20.

HOME SWEET HOME
The Catamounts are 4-1 this season at home at Patrick Gym. They are averaging 68.6 points in their home games this season and have given up just 56.8 points.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
Under first year Head Coach Adrienne Shibles the Big Green are 0-7 this season. Shibles came to Dartmouth College from Bowdoin where she was the winningest coach in program history. During the 2018-19 campaign, she guided the Polar Bears to its second straight National Championship Game appearance. Following the season, she was named the WBCA Division III Coach of the Year.

Last Friday the Big Green fell 73-37 to Loyola Chicago before the Ramblers came up to Burlington for Sunday's contest, a 72-62 UVM win. So far, this season Dartmouth is 0-3 on the road and they've been outscored by an average margin of 19.6. Sophomore guard Mia Curtis leads the team in scoring with 7.4 points-per game. Six Big Green players are averaging 4.7 points or more per game.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series between the two teams is tied at 18 wins apiece. Their last meeting was November 5, 2019 in both teams' season opener. The Big Green scored 27 in the third quarter to break open a 72-55 win. Dartmouth has won the last three games in the series.

CVU BACK AT PATRICK GYM
Wednesday's matchup between Dartmouth and Vermont will feature former Redhawks Mekkena Boyd and
Catherine Gilwee. Boyd, a Penn State transfer, has started all seven games for the Big Green and is averaging 5.9 points per game. She had a career-high 14 points at Merrimack on November 27. Gilwee made her first career start for the Catamounts on Sunday. She's averaging 27.1 minutes per game and 4.3 points per game.

In 2018 and 2019 the duo finished as the Division I runner up at CVU. During the 2020 campaign they were named quad-champs with the other semifinalists after the tournament was suspended due to COVID-19.
