WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (2-4) will continue its home stand this weekend as they host LIU (0-7) Friday night at 6 p.m. and Loyola Chicago (4-2) at noon on Sunday. Friday's non-conference matchup can be heard on The Game (97.1 FM Burlington, 105.9 FM Plattsburgh, 960 AM) with Cooper Boardman on the call, while Sunday's contest will be on the usual home of Vermont women's basketball AM 620 WVMT. The action will also be streamed live on ESPN+.
Friday night is the Catamounts annual, Military Appreciation Night presented by Milton CAT. Then on Sunday its Poster Day presented by UVM Print and Mail. Additional details on both are below.

Friday is the Catamounts annual, Military Appreciation Game presented by Milton CAT. The Catamounts will wear special edition Military Appreciation jerseys for their game against the Sharks. on These game-worn jerseys will be auctioned off starting at 6 p.m. Friday, starting at $125 per jersey at
https://uvmathletics.com/auctions/. The auction will end on Friday, December 10 at noon. Proceeds from this jersey auction will go to the Josh Pallotta Fund.

COMPLIMENTARY TICKET FRIDAY FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL
All military personnel will receive a complimentary ticket for Friday's game with a valid military ID. A special group rate of $4 per general admission ticket is available for all military family members.
POSTER DAY PRESENTED BY UVM PRINT AND MAIL SUNDAY
Sunday is the Catamounts annual Poster Day presented by UVM Print and Mail. Following the Catamounts tilt against the Ramblers the UVM student-athletes will autograph posters on the court.
OLSON LEADS THE WAY FOR VERMONT
2021 America East Rookie of the Year
Anna Olson is picking up where she left of last season leading the Catamounts in scoring this year with 12.3 points-per game. She is also UVM's top-rebounder grabbing 7.7 per game. She is also averaging 1.5 blocks-per game this season which is the best in America East and tied for 97th in the NCAA.
LIMITING OPPONENTS TRIPS TO THE LINE
The Catamounts are averaging just 13.3 fouls-per game this season which is the 18th fewest in the NCAA. As a team in six games they have committed just 80 personal fouls. UVM committed a season-low eight fouls at Navy on November 20.
HOOSIERS HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF THE SHARKS

Emma Utterback and
Delaney Richason had games to remember in UVM's first meeting with LIU on December 21, 2019. As first years, both set career-highs that afternoon, Utterback had 21 points and Richason had 18 as UVM defeated the Sharks 73-62.
SCOUTING LIU
The Sharks are 0-7 this season but that includes three losses by six or less points. On November 18, LIU fell 59-53 in overtime at NJIT, which is in their second season in America East. This Wednesday the Sharks fell 77-74 hosting Army. LIU is averaging 21 turnovers per game and its opponents have scored an average of 14.4 points off their turnovers.
Graduate student Erykah Russell leads the Sharks in scoring averaging 12 points-per game. She matched a season-high with 15 points Wednesday against the Black Knights. A Brooklyn native Russell transferred from Division II University of Charleston. The top-returning Sharks scorer from their previous meeting in 2019 is Brandy Thomas. Against the Catamounts she had 17 points, this season she is averaging 9.5 points-per game. She has started all four contests she's been available for.
SCOUTING LOYOLA CHICAGO
The Ramblers are 4-2 this season, but 0-2 on the road thus far. On Friday night, they will face Dartmouth before making the trip to Burlington on Sunday. In their last game they defeated Miami (Ohio) 69-52 holding the RedHawks to 32-percent shooting. Loyola Chicago is led by a trio of scorers averaging 10 points-per game – Allison Day, Janae Gonzales and Maya Chandler. In the teams' first-ever meeting on November 8, 2019 Day scored with less than a second left in regulation in a 78-76 win over Vermont. The Ramblers late win over Vermont is their only one against an America East opponent. Overall, they are 1-3 against America East teams.
