CRYMBLE LEADING THE WAY
Junior forward
Hanna Crymble leads the Catamounts in scoring with 15.6 PPG. She is third in America East in scoring. She has been Vermont's leading scorer in 14 of the Catamounts 20 games. She is shooting 52.3% from the field this season which is tied for the best mark in America East. She is also shooting 87.2% from the free throw line, which is the best mark in the league.
CANDICE DOES IT ALL AGAINST STONY BROOK
Last Saturday Candice set a new career-high with four assists. She also made a season-high eight field goals on her way to 19 points. She also collected eight rebounds and had three blocks and a steal.
WRIGHT BLOCK PARTY
Candice Wright is Vermont's all-time block leader with 203 career blocks. She has 62 blocks this season which is third most in the NCAA. She is averaging 3.1 blocks per game, twice this season she has had eight blocks in a single game. By herself this season Candice has more blocks than five America East teams. As a team Vermont is 10th in the NCAA averaging 5.9 blocks per game.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL
The River Hawks enter Saturday's contest on a four-game losing streak, UMass Lowell has lost each of their last three games by at least 20 points. On Wednesday at Maine the Black Bears defeated UML 79-45.
At the halfway point in league play the River Hawks are currently in seventh place, a game ahead of UMBC and New Hampshire but two games behind Binghamton and Vermont.
Brianna Rudolph is the team's leading scorer with 11.6 points per game. In the River Hawks two league wins this season she is averaging 20.5 points per game, she had 17 in a winning effort against the Catamounts on January 2.
Ren'Cia Rolling runs the River Hawks offense and is averaging 4.9 assists per game, the third highest mark in America East. On Wednesday at Maine she became the third player in program history to surpass 100 assists in a single-season. Against Vermont earlier this season she had 10 points and six assists.
SERIES HISTORY
After edging the Catamounts 54-51 in the teams previous meeting on January 2 the River Hawks lead the overall series with Vermont 6-5. UVM is 3-2 all-time when hosting UML at Patrick Gym. Seven of the 11 matchups between the two teams have been decided by 10 points or fewer, including the last three games.
