WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
The Catamounts have arrived in the Midwest and continue their season-opening three-game road trip at Loyola Chicago tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. The non-conference matchup will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and can be heard on AM 620/96.3 FM WVMT with the voice of the Catamounts Maura Sheridan on the call.

WHITESIDE HAS DEBUT TO REMEMBER
Freshman forward
Carly Whiteside had 10 points off the bench for the Catamounts in her collegiate debut at Dartmouth Tuesday night. It was the most points by a UVM freshman in their first game since senior forward
Hanna Crymble had 10 against Bryant on November 11, 2016.

Four Catamounts hit three-pointers Tuesday night at Dartmouth.
Josie Larkins led the way with three made from downtown. In the first half Tuesday UVM shot 5-10 from behind the arc on their way to a 28-25 halftime lead.

SCOUTING LOYOLA CHICAGO
The Ramblers return nine student-athletes from a team that won 13 games last season. They were 9-7 at home a year ago. This season they were picked to finish seventh in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Sophomore guard Janae Gonzales scored 29 points on 10-of-14 shooting Tuesday night to lead the Ramblers to an 89-60 win over Detroit Mercy on the road. It was Loyola Chicago's first win in a season opener since 2011. Gonzales hit nine three-pointers for Loyola Chicago, tying a program record. Gonzales and junior guard Abby O'Connor each hit over 50 triples last season.

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first time the Catamounts have played the Ramblers. It will be just the second time the Catamounts have played in the state of Illinois. UVM fell 70-64 at Chicago State on December 18, 2001.

The Ramblers are 0-3 all-time against America East opponents. UMBC defeated the LUC 67-55 in 2005 in the Ramblers last meeting against an America East foe.
