UTTERBACK NAMED AMERICA EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman guard

She also shot 57-percent from behind the arc. On Friday at Loyola Chicago she had 19 points, the most by a UVM freshman in a single-game since
Hanna Crymble scored 20 against Hartford on February 2, 2017. Fellow starter
Rose Caverly was the last Catamount to be named America East Rookie of the Week. She received the honor on December 3, 2018.
SCOUTING BRYANT
Bryant comes to Burlington with a win and a loss under its belt to start the year. They most recently took a 68-56 loss to New Hampshire in their home opener on Saturday. As a team, the Bulldogs are shooting 32% from the field and just 13% from beyond the arc. The Bulldogs return five experienced seniors, who have each seen time in the starting rotation. They are led by Sydney Holloway, a unanimous Northeast Conference All-Preseason selection and returning All-NEC first team forward. Holloway led the conference with 337 rebounds and 11.2 points per game last year. She is averaging a double-double to start the season. The Bulldogs next two highest scorers are both underclassmen, with sophomore Trinity Bravo (9.0 PPG) and freshman Nicole Gallagher (8.5 PPG) contributing at both ends of the floor.
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont meets Bryant for the fifth time in program history on Sunday. The series dates back to a meeting in October of 1985, where the Catamounts won 72-61. Following the win, the Catamounts would not see the Bulldogs for almost 30 years. The series was renewed in 2013, and the two teams have played four times since. Bryant leads the series 4-1, most recently beating the Catamounts in 2016 at Patrick Gymnasium. Sunday's meeting will mark the second time Vermont has hosted Bryant in their home opener.
HOME OPENERS
Vermont is 29-11 all-time in home openers. Last season the Catamounts defeated Rider 54-49 in their home opener. Over the last ten years UVM is 7-3 in their first game in front of the Patrick Gym crowd.
