LOWELL, Mass. – The UVM women's soccer team earned one point in the conference standings with a scoreless draw at UMass Lowell on Thursday night. The Catamounts improve to 3-7-3 overall and 1-3-2 in league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The River Hawks came close to grabbing an early lead in the fourth minute. Lily Fabian dribbled up the seam and fired a line drive from 20 yards out but the ball clanked off the crossbar.
- Four minutes later, Karen Wallace had a similar opportunity for the Catamounts. The freshman collected a loose ball on the edge of the 18-yard box, turned to her left, and ripped a shot off the crossbar. The ball bounced in front of the net and Alyssa Oviedo tried to bury the rebound opportunity but her shot flew over the bar.
- Wallace opened the second half with a solid chance to put the Green and Gold on the board. From the top left corner of the box, she bent a shot towards the far post but UML goalie Annerens Tijm (6 saves) punched the ball away.
- Later in the half, UML's Cristina Blaya bounced a pair of shots off the crossbar. The midfielder wrapped a shot off the bar from 25 yards out in the 48th minute, then again in the 62nd minute.
- In double overtime, Kacey Lambertson made a fingertip save to preserve the scoreless tie. Karah Fleet tapped a shot from close range but Lambertson dove to the right and knocked the ball away at the last second.
GAME NOTES
- Lambertson recorded six saves in the match. The junior goalkeeper also tallied her seventh-career clean sheet and cracked the top-10 of UVM's career shutout list.
- Wallace fueled the offensive attack with three shot attempts. Ella Bankert and Brooke Jenkins added two shots apiece.
- UVM played its fifth overtime match of the season and third double-overtime contest.
