GAME-WORN JERSEY AUCTION
Saturday's matinee is UVM's annual Rally Against Cancer game presented by Inspired Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special edition lavender jerseys this year - the color that represents the fight against all cancers. Fans are encouraged to wear lavender and fill out a "I Rally For" sign as a part of a pregame ceremony to show that no one has to battle cancer alone. Jerseys will be auctioned off following the game at UVMathletics.com/Auctions and the proceeds will benefit the UVM Cancer Center. Bidding will close on Wednesday January, 30 at noon.

LARKINS CAREER DAY FUELS THE CATAMOUNTS
Sophomore guard Josie Larkins scored a career-high 23 points and seven three-pointers Wednesday afternoon as the Catamounts defeated UMBC 58-44 for their third straight league win. The seven three-pointers in a single game is tied for the second best shooting performance from downtown in program history. In league play Larkins has averaged 10.4 points per game.

LOVE THAT WINNING FEELING
Vermont's win at UMBC marked the first time they have won back-to-back road games since 2010. The Catamounts three-game winning streak is also their longest since 2015. With nine games left in the regular season Vermont has already matched last season's win total.

CRYMBLE LEADING THE WAY
Junior forward Hanna Crymble leads the Catamounts in scoring with 15.4 PPG. She is fourth in America East in scoring. She has been Vermont's leading scorer in 14 of the Catamounts 19 games. She is shooting 52.4% from the field this season which is the second-best mark in America East. She is also shooting 86.4% from the free throw line, which is the best mark in the league.

WRIGHT BLOCK PARTY
Candice Wright is Vermont's all-time block leader with 200 career blocks. She is averaging 3.1 blocks per game, which is sixth in the NCAA. As a team Vermont is ninth in the NCAA averaging 6.0 blocks per game.

SCOUTING STONY BROOK
The Seawolves opened the 2018-19 campaign with a program record 10-0 start. That record start included the program's first-ever win over a Power Five program, an 81-70 win at Penn State.

In conference play Stony Brook is 3-3, currently tied for fifth place with Binghamton. On Wednesday UAlbany defeated Stony Brook on Long Island 54-49, the Great Danes started the game on a 15-2 run and held on late.

The Seawolves leading scorer Shania Johnson is expected to miss Saturday's game against Vermont serving an automatic one-game suspension after receiving a disqualification Wednesday evening.

Fortunately for Stony Brook one of their other key players returned from injury Wednesday. Jerell Matthews, who averages 15.7 points per game, played her first game since December 11 against the Great Danes. She had 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal playing all 40 minutes. Last season against Vermont she averaged 17 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts lead the all-time series 19-16 against the Seawolves. Last season Stony Brook swept the season-series against Vermont which ended a three-game winning streak for the Catamounts.

Team Nissan North is the presenting sponsor of the 2018-19 women's basketball season.
