BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont shot 51.1% from the field and four players reached double digits Wednesday night as the Catamounts offense overwhelmed New Hampshire's zone defense in a 69-60 win from Patrick Gym. With the win the Catamounts improved to 2-3 in America East action, while the Wildcats fell to 1-4 in league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts got off to a quick start taking an early 5-0 lead with a Josie Larkins three-pointer and easy layup for Candice Wright. Carmen Handy hit another shot from deep for Vermont to give the Cats a 12-4 lead with 2:15 left in the opening frame. With seven seconds left in the quarter Hanna Crymble scored in transition to give Vermont a ten-point cushion, 18-8.
- Courtney Wright scored the first four points of the second quarter as the Catamounts offense continued to click. Lauren Handy and Josie Larkins hit back-to-back three pointers with 2:42 left in the half to give Vermont a 13-point cushion.
- In the third quarter Vermont's offensive onslaught continued, Rose Caverly and Candice Wright hit back-to-back three's to establish a 20-point lead. Crymble had four points in the final 77 seconds of the third quarter to give UVM a 23-point lead heading to the final quarter.
- New Hampshire's Alli Gribbin scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as the Wildcats clawed their way back into the game late. Courtney Wright became the sixth Catamount to hit a three-pointer with 2:58 left in regulation to put away Vermont's second conference win of the year.

- 10 of Vermont's 15 first half field goals were assisted. Rose Caverly matched her career-high with six assists on the night.
- Vermont's 38 points were the most scored by the Catamounts in a first half this season against a Division I opponent.
- Lauren Handy led the team with four blocked shots, as a team Vermont had seven.
- The Catamounts benched outscored UNH 21-5.
- With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to Make-A-Wish Vermont; bringing this year's total to eight wins and $900.

Save the date for our annual Rally Against Cancer game, presented by Inspired Closets, Saturday January 26 when your Catamounts host Stony Brook at 2 p.m. Vermont will be wearing special edition lavender jerseys this year, the color the represents the fight against all cancers.
