MISSOULA, Mont. – Montana used a final minute goal from Hallie Widner to sneak past Vermont 1-0 on Friday night in the nightcap of the Montana Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first half was very active between the two non-conference foes as the teams combined for 13 shots.
• UVM held off a potential scoring threat in the 83rd minute. On a Grizzlies' corner kick, Ellie Otteson got a head on the feed from Kennedy Yost but the shot sailed high over the crossbar.
• In the final minute, Widner knocked in the game-winning goal in front of the net off a rebound from Alexa Coyle.
• Aly Spencer attempted a shot with six ticks left on the clock but Claire Howard came up with the save.
