INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont leads the all-time series 5-4. The Catamounts won the first meeting in Burlington on Dec. 1, 2013. UVM won both meetings last season and the previous matchup this season on Jan. 3. The River Hawks became a Division I program and joined the America East in the 2013-14 season.
 Â
HISTORY BEFORE OUR EYES
Candice Wright's five blocked shots against Rider on Dec. 1 placed her in sole possession for first all-time on Vermont's career blocks list. The junior broke Katie McNamara's '05 record of 102 blocked shots on her first rejection of the contest. Wright has 136 blocked shots during her career through the last game vs. Albany.
  Â
DIALING FROM LONG DISTANCE
Smith ranks fourth all-time with 180 career makes from long distance. She surpassed her former teammate, Kayla Burchill '15 (170) with four three-pointers at UMBCÂ on Jan. 6.
