WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (4-7) will travel to face Kansas (9-1) Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. (ET) as the Catamounts continue their season long four-game road trip. The non-conference matchup can be heard on AM 620 WVMT with Maura Sheridan on the call. Friday's action can be seen on

CRYMBLE LEADING THE WAY
Junior forward
Hanna Crymble leads the Catamounts in scoring with 17.6 PPG. She is second in America East in scoring behind Maine's Blanca Millan (18.1 PPG). She has been Vermont's leading scorer in nine of the Catamounts 11 games including each of the last eight. She is shooting 51.1% from the field this season which is the top mark in America East.
SCOUTING KANSAS
The Jayhawks are 9-1 this season and are currently on a three-game winning streak which includes neutral site wins over Washington State and Northwestern in the Duel in the Desert just before the holiday. Jessica Washington was selected as the Desert Division MVP after leading the Jayhawks in scoring in both games. Washington was also named Big 12 Player of the Week for her efforts in Las Vegas. A sixth-year guard, Washington leads the team in scoring this season with 16.3 PPG.
Kansas is 6-0 at Allen Fieldhouse this season, they have won those six games by an average of 19.6 points. The closest margin of victory for the Jayhawks was 11 against Alabama A&M on November 18. The Jayhawks last non-conference home loss was against Harvard on December 7, 2016.
Sunday will be the Jayhawks first game against an America East opponent since defeating Maine 126-63 on December 1, 2010.
BIG 12 ACTION
Sunday will be the Catamounts first-ever meeting with Kansas. Vermont is 0-6 against teams currently in the Big 12. The Catamounts have faced Kansas State, Oklahoma State and Texas. Vermont's last game against a Big 12 opponent was December 15, 2012 at Oklahoma State.
