COACH'S QUOTE
"To win two games in three days on the road against an Atlantic 10 team and a CAA team, it's really hard to do," Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach John Becker said. "I'm really proud of the guys and we found a way tonight. It wasn't always pretty but we found a way to win."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The former conference rivals struggled to find their stroke in the early parts of the game but the Cats jumped out to a 15-8 lead by the 8:41 mark. UVM kept the score to a three-possession game for the most part but Towson went on a mini run at the end of the half. With the Catamounts up 24-18 with 2:37 left in the period, the Tigers netted seven of the final 10 points but trailed 27-25 at the recess.
  • UVM was on fire to begin the second half and opened with a 23-5 run. The Green and Gold held its biggest lead of the night at 52-30 at the 12-minute media timeout, but Towson climbed back into game. The Tigers whittled the deficit to 67-62 with 27 ticks left after mounting a 32-15 surge but the Cats iced the game at free throw line. Vermont hit three of its final four attempts at the charity stripe in the final seconds.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
  • Duncan reached his season high on 7-of-11 shooting and knocked down 6-of-9 attempts from three-point land.
  • Moll set new career highs in points and rebounds (7). He also drained three triples and dished out two assists.
  • Anthony Lamb posted double figures for the seventh time this season with 12 points and collected six boards.
  • UVM never trailed and led for 37:17 of the game's 40 minutes
  • The Catamounts even the all-time series with Towson at 13-13.
  • With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate another $100 to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, bringing this year's total to 108 wins and $10,800.
