WOMEN'S BASKETBALL NOTEBOOK
Vermont (2-2) will host the annual TD Bank Classic this weekend at Patrick Gym. The Catamounts will face Wagner (1-3) at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon. The non-conference matchup can be heard on AM 620 WVMT with Maura Sheridan on the call. The action will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Jamie Scavotto and
Jason Young in the broadcast booth.
Following the Catamounts matchup with the Seahawks, Drexel (2-1) will face Siena (1-3) at 7 p.m. That game can be seen live for free at AmericaEast.TV.
On Saturday the semifinal winners will square off in the TD Bank Championship while the other teams will play a consolation game. Regardless of the outcomes Vermont will still play at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Catamounts Saturday contest will also be broadcast on ESPN+.

SCOUTING WAGNER
The Seahawks are 1-3 this season, however their lone win of the year, an 86-60 decision over Longwood, was Wagner's biggest win since 2015. The Seahawks were picked to finish 10th in the NEC Preseason Poll. Freshman forward Emilija Krista Grava was named NEC Rookie of the Week after averaging 15.0 PPG including a career-high 18 points and 14 rebounds against Longwood in her first career double-double.
The Catamounts lead the all-time series against the Seahawks 2-1, with their last win coming December 14, 2014 at Patrick Gym in 82-75 tilt.
SCOUTING DREXEL
The 2018 CAA Regular Season Champions are off to another strong start this season with a record of 2-1. The Dragons are currently ranked No. 14 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25. Drexel is led in scoring by junior forward Bailey Greenberg (18.0 PPG), in the Dragons last contest she matched a career-high with 20 points against Bucknell.
Vermont and the Dragons were frequent foes in the North Atlantic Conference. The Catamounts own a 20-6 overall record against Drexel but the Dragons were victorious in the teams' last meeting (66-49) which occurred in the 2012 TD Bank Classic championship game.
SCOUTING SIENA
The Saints picked up their first win of the season on Monday defeating Howard 86-81. Siena was down by 12 entering the fourth quarter but rallied for the win. Maddie Sims leads the way for Siena with 12.8 points and 7.0 rebounds a game. She notched a career 21 points and 11 rebounds Monday. Siena was picked third overall in the MAAC Preseason Poll. Last year's team went 17-14 overall.
Vermont leads the overall series 15-14 over the Saints. The Catamounts have won nine of the last 10 matchups including the last game a 75-56 Vermont win in 2007.
TD BANK HISTORY
The TD Bank Classic has developed a reputation as one of the top in-season tournaments in women's basketball. In past years teams such as Tennessee, NC State, Auburn, Louisville, Vanderbilt and St. John's and coaches Pat Summitt and Kay Yow, have participated in the tournament. The TD Bank Classic also boasts 10 alumni who have gone on to play in the WNBA. The Catamounts have won the tournament title seven times, the last coming in 2011.
