BURLINGTON, Vt. – Five Catamounts reached double figures including
Courtney Wright with a career-high 17 points to lead the Vermont to a 78-28 win over Norwich Thursday night in non-conference action from Patrick Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts started the night off with consecutive three-pointers from Nicole Crum (11 Pts) and Josie Larkins (4 Pts) to take an early advantage. Vermont held a 16-9 edge after the first quarter.
- Vermont extended its lead in the second quarter with a 13-0 run to open the frame. Five different Catamounts scored over that stretch, led by four points from Hanna Crymble (10 Pts). Vermont dominated the second quarter outscoring the Cadets 24-5 with 13 of the points coming from their bench.
- The Vermont bench carried the day in the second half scoring 30 points as the Catamounts outscored Norwich 38-14 in the final 30 minutes.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- In addition to her career-high in scoring Courtney Wright grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds for her first career double-double.
- Sophie Wittenbeck and Nicole Crum recorded their first career field goals.
- On the night Vermont's bench outscored Norwich 49-0, the Catamounts generated 19 points off Norwich turnovers.
- Nine of the 10 Catamounts who played Thursday night recorded at least three points.
- Nicole Crum and Sarah Wells, both recorded career-highs with 11 points.
- The Catamounts 2-1 record after three games is their best start since 2011.
- With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate another $100 to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, bringing this year's total to 102 wins and $10,200.
