WRIGHT FEELING IN THE OPENER
Candice Wright led the Catamounts Friday night with 21 points, including 11 in the final 3:29 of game action as Vermont defeated Rider 54-49. Wright also had 14 rebounds, the most by a Catamount since Emilie Cloutier had 16 on December 14, 2014 against Wagner. It was Wright's second career double-double. She also had five blocks.

Alisa Kresge became the first Catamount to win her coaching debut since Sharon Dawley in 2003.

PT FOR FRESHMAN POINT GUARD
Freshman guard
Rose Caverly led all Catamounts playing a game-high 37 minutes Friday night against the Broncs. She finished with seven points, six assists, and five rebounds. In Vermont's exhibition tilt against Saint Michael's Caverly played a team-high 29 minutes.

YOUTH MOVEMENT
Vermont is one of only five teams in Division I women's basketball with seven or more true freshmen (Florida Atlantic, Oklahoma, SMU & Wichita State.) The Catamounts average age is 19.7, which is 13th youngest among the 349 Division I teams.

SCOUTING DARTMOUTH
The Big Green are 1-0 on the season after defeating Loyola (Md.) 54-41 Friday night at home. Senior Isalys Quinones recorded a double-double for the Big Green with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while junior Annie McKenna set a new career high with 13 points.

Dartmouth won 15 games last season, the most for the Big Green since the 2008-09 campaign. Last season Dartmouth picked up two marquee power-conference wins against Boston College and Colorado. They were the Big Green's first wins against an ACC and Pac-12 program. After finishing fifth in the Ivy League last season Dartmouth was predicted to finish sixth in the 2018-19 Preseason Poll.

SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts lead the all-time series 20-15 against the Big Green. Last season Dartmouth defeated Vermont 66-56 in the season opener at Leede Arena, senior guard Cy Lippold led the way with 20 points.
TROTTING OF THE TURKEYS
Saturday morning members of the women's basketball team participated in the fifth annual Trotting of the Turkeys benefitting the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf and Burlington Sunrise Rotary. The team was joined by Vermont men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse and the spirit squads as they paraded donated turkeys down Church Street.
