BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Catamounts could not contain a strong second-half offensive attack by Holy Cross on Tuesday afternoon. Despite being within striking distance in the first half, Vermont fell 14-5 in non-conference action at Virtue Field.

Moore helped Vermont strike first in the opening minute with an assist coming from Bolt.

The Crusaders answered with three straight goals before Moore recorded her second score at the 6:14 mark as the green and gold drew within a goal from tying the game.

Holy Cross closed out the half with five goals in the final six minutes of the period for an 8-2 lead at the break.

After the Crusaders opened the second half with a pair of goals, Moore netted her third score of the afternoon at the 22:21 mark. Later in the half, McWright charted her fourth goal of the season and Saneman posted her first goal of the year. Â
