DENVER – The Catamounts could not pull off the upset at 16th-ranked Denver and fell 14-4 on Sunday evening in non-conference action.

Denver used a double hat trick from Julia Feiss to pick up the victory. Elizabeth Behrins added a hat trick for the Pioneers as seven different players found the back of the net. Maddy Stevenson stopped five attempts in goal.
The first half belonged to Denver as the 16th-ranked team in the country found the back of the net six times in the opening period.
After the Pioneers netted two more goals to begin the second half, the Catamounts responded with four straight goals to cut the deficit in half.
In the last 11 minutes of the contest. Denver closed out the game with six more scores for the final margin of victory.
Vermont will stay in the Mile High City for the week and plays a neutral site contest against Oregon on Friday (March 17) at 9 p.m. (ET).
