DENVER –The Catamounts concluded their two-game road trip in the Mile High City with a 17-7 non-conference loss to Oregon on Friday night. Vermont falls to 0-9 on the year while Oregon improves to 6-2.

Vermont had a trio of seniors score two goals apiece –
Alison Bolt,
Brynne Yarranton, and
Meredith Moore. Yarranton also dished out an assist while Moore recorded two assists.
Jenna Janes added a goal and an assist for the Cats.
Maddy Kuras and
Catherine Green split time in goal and each made four saves.
Oregon's Shannon Williams posted a double hat trick and dished out two assists for eight points. Bella Pyne tallied a hat trick and charted a pair of assists for the Ducks. Becca Katzen saved four shots to pick up her sixth victory of the season.
The first three goals of the game came from the sticks of Oregon in the opening five minutes. Bolt answered for the Cats with a score at the 23:32 mark as Moore was credited with the assist.
The Ducks tacked on two more goals before Moore stopped the bleeding with her first goal of the evening near the midway point of the half and cut the deficit to 5-2. As the clock ticked under the final minute, Moore scored her second goal of the period as the Cats trailed 12-3 at the break.
In the second half, UVM's defense tightened up and held Oregon to five goals in the period. On the offensive end, Yarranton charted her two goals while Bolt and Janes found the back of the net.
