BURLINGTON, Vt. – Sophomore
Hanna Crymble posted a double-double as the Vermont women's basketball team, which trailed 14-12 after the first quarter, won 75-58 against Saint Michael's on Saturday afternoon in exhibition action at Patrick Gym.

Emily Ferreri was the only player in double figures for the Purple Knights with 11 points. Leah Spencer, after dropping 23 on Vermont last year, was held to five points on 1-of-7 shooting from the floor by UVM's defense.
Ferreri scored five points in the first quarter to help pace the Purple Knights to a 14-12 lead through the opening period.
UVM started the second quarter on a 12-1 run and never looked back. The scoring spree was aided from the perimeter on three-pointers from Smith and South Burlington, Vermont native
Cassidy Derda. Derda netted eight points and secured seven rebounds in her first game at UVM since transferring from Saint Francis Brooklyn. Vermont went into the locker room at halftime with a 35-28 lead.
In the third quarter, the Catamounts outscored the Purple Knights by nine for the second straight period.
Saint Michael's attempted to claw back in the fourth quarter, keeping pace with Vermont. Purple Knights sophomore Alyssa Breunig had a career-high five points, which all came in the final frame.
