The UVM Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) and members of UVM's LGBTQ Center will have a table set up at the game for more information on You Can Play. You Can Play is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring equality, respect and safety for all athletes, without regard to sexual orientation or gender identity. The women's basketball team will be wearing special shooting shirts during warmups.

ABOUT VERMONT
Vermont sits seventh in America East with an overall record of 7-16 (2-8), including conference wins against New Hampshire and UMass Lowell. The Catamounts have already increased their number of wins from 2014-15 and matched their conference win total from last season.

UVM has continued to pace the league in blocks piling up 113 in 23 games to rank 30th nationally behind rookie Candice Wright. Wright is tied for second in the conference, averaging nearly two swats a contest, while Sydney Smith and Gracia Hutson are tied for fourth in the league with one block apiece each game.

Andreana Thomas leads the Vermont offense, as the graduate student has reached double-figure scoring 18 times this season. Thomas is putting up 15 points per game during conference play to combine for over a quarter of the Catamounts' league points.

LAST TIME OUT VS. ALBANY | CatamounTV Highlights
Vermont fell to the Albany Great Danes (19-3, 10-0) 75-40 in a conference rematch on Saturday at Patrick Gymnasium. Andreana Thomas posted 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists to lead the Catamounts. Lauren Handy went 4-for-8 from the field to pile up a career-best 11 points and pulled down three rebounds.

Katie Lavelle tallied six of Vermont's 14 first quarter points as the Catamounts trailed Albany 22-14 after one quarter. A long three-ball by Thomas from deep in the corner cut into the Danes' 10-point advantage, but Albany answered back with an 11-2 run to take its largest lead of the game (39-21) with a minute to play in the half.

The Danes extended their lead to 57-31 after eight minutes in the second half. Kylie Butler connected on two from the charity stripe in the final moments in the quarter, but Albany held onto a 59-33 advantage with 10 minutes to play.

Handy drilled a basket from behind the arc to give her a new season-high of 11 points at the 2:19 mark but the Danes secured the win and remain undefeated in America East.

SCOUTING THE RIVER HAWKS
UMass Lowell (3-19, 0-10) comes to Burlington after falling to Stony Brook 60-46. The River Hawks are shooting at a clip of 40-percent from the field and 32.7-percent from three-point range, with wins over Boston University, Holy Cross and Farleigh Dickenson.

As a team, UML records 36.6 rebounds per game behind Lindsey Doucette and Kayla Gibbs, who both pull down at least seven boards each contest. Doucette leads three River Hawks averaging double-figure scoring with 14.2 points per game and 8.2 rebounds.

Gibbs is posting 12.1 ppg and Nicole Hayner adds 11.4 ppg, while also dishing out 36 assists this season.

SERIES HISTORY
The River Hawks have the narrow 3-2 head-to-head edge over Vermont since joining America East starting in the 2013-14 season. UVM claimed its second win against UML 59-51 in Lowell on Jan. 18 and had a historic-game from the charity stripe by going a perfect 22-for-22.

UVM set an NCAA single-game record this season for free throw percentage and is one of only six teams to shoot 100-percent from the line as a team this year. The Catamounts' perfect execution from the charity stripe also matched a 12-year UVM record for free throw percentage set in 2004 against Albany.

WHO'S NEXT
The Catamounts rest up this week and are back on the road next Sunday (Feb. 14) to take on the Hartford Hawks. Tip-off in West Hartford, Connecticut is set for 2 p.m.

Radio coverage at Hartford begins 20 minutes prior to tip-off at 1:40 p.m. on WVMT 620-AM and SportsJuice.com with Jamie Scavotto calling the action. All conference matchups can also be viewed for free via AmericaEast.tv.
