ABOUT VERMONTThe Catamounts most recently fell on the road to the Hartford Hawks (11-14, 7-5) in a heartbreaking 52-50 overtime loss on Sunday. Vermont finished the afternoon with a 48-36 advantage on the boards and held the Hawks under 32-percent shooting from the floor.

UVM has had a strong presence under the basket this year, ranking second in the league by collecting 26 defensive rebounds and 13 offensive rebounds each game.
Rookie
Hayley Robertson posted her first career double-double against UMass Lowell this past Monday as she eclipsed the 20-point mark for the first time this season. Robertson also reached double-figure rebounding as she grabbed 10 boards.

As a team, Vermont has utilized the charity stripe to its advantage and has gone perfect from the line twice this season, including a 22-for-22 performance against UMass Lowell (Jan. 18) and 11-for-11 at Delaware (Dec. 22).

LAST TIME OUTDarby Lee's turnaround jump shot from the baseline with 1.8 seconds left in overtime led Hartford past visiting UVM 52-50 on Sunday afternoon at the Chase Family Arena.

Kylie Atwood posted a game-best 17 points and dished out two helpers for the Catamounts.
Sydney Smith chipped in 14 points and seven rebounds, while
Candice Wright and
Katie Lavelle also recorded seven boards each.

After an 8-3 run by Hartford, Vermont trailed the Hawks 46-41 with 2:33 remaining in the game. Smith drained a huge triple with just over a minute to play to cut the lead to two, followed by a swat on the opposite end by Wright.
A runner from left of the lane by Atwood tied the game at 46 apiece with 5.7 seconds to play and action was halted by a Hartford timeout. Another crucial block by Wright stopped Hartford's final attempt and sent the game into overtime before Lee's game-winning bucket.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATSLast time out, Hartford's Katelyn Skinner scored at the buzzer, leading the Hawks to a 41-39 win over Binghamton (10-15, 5-7) in America East action on Thursday night at the Events Center.

Imani Watkins currently ranks fifth in America East averaging 16 points per game. She is also fourth with 3.8 assists and records 2.4 steals per game. Alyssa James ranks sixth in the league in scoring (15.3 ppg) and is fourth in rebounding (8.0 rpg). She also leads the conference in blocks per game with nearly three a contest.

Senior guard Kim Albrecht is tied for first among NCAA Division I players with a .917 free throw percentage (70-of-76).
SERIES HISTORYUVM leads the all-time series 20-10 against the Bearcats and Tuesday marks the 31st all-time meeting between the schools since 2002. Vermont and Binghamton split the regular season series last year as the Catamounts fell on the road 73-62 and topped the Bearcats at Patrick Gym 72-66 in February. In the teams first meeting this season at Patrick Gym, the Catamounts dropped a close league contest to Binghamton 57-53.

WHO'S NEXTThe Catamounts return to Patrick Gym on Saturday (Feb. 20) to take on UMBC in Vermont's annual "Rally Against Cancer" matchup. Tip-off against the Retrievers is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Burlington.
