ABOUT VERMONTVermont (7-13, 2-5) has won two of its last three contests after an 0-4 start in conference play. In its most recent matchup, the Catamounts put up a season-best 83 points in their 20-point victory over New Hampshire on Wednesday at Patrick Gym.

As a team, Vermont went 21-for-22 from the foul line against the Wildcats, nearly matching its NCAA season-best showing at UMass Lowell three games ago. The Catamounts are currently 53-for-60 (88.3-percent) from the stripe in their last three matchups.

UVM continues to block the most shots in the conference, totaling 105 on the season, and ranks 23rd nationally. As a team, the Catamounts average at least 5.3 swats per game.

Vermont's starters have played a key role for the Catamounts offensively this season. The starting lineup scores 70-percent of UVM's points, averaging 40 of Vermont's 57.5 points per game. The starters also dish out 80-percent of the Catamounts' assists.

Atwood topped her previous career-best by six points, while tying her career-high with four assists.
Andreana Thomas also scored 20 points, pulled down seven rebounds, dished out six assists and grabbed three steals. It marked Thomas' fifth 20-point performance of her career.

At the half Vermont led UNH 33-30, as Atwood and Thomas combined for 19 of the Catamounts' 33 points. The Wildcats held a 26-14 edge on the boards, but UVM connected on 50-percent (5-for-10) from three-point range.

Despite Vermont's 12-point cushion (46-34) early in the third UNH found itself within a single possession with 1:13 left to play in the period, but that's as close as the Wildcats would get.

Atwood and Robertson strung together a 10-0 run with a jumper and three-pointer apiece as Vermont took its largest lead of the game (76-56) with two minutes remaining in the game. Thomas made three more trips to the charity stripe in the final moments, going 7-of-8, and secured UVM's 20-point victory over the Wildcats.
SCOUTING STONY BROOKThe Seawolves (13-7, 5-2) currently sit third in America East after being edged out by Maine 55-52 on Sunday. When playing on its home court, Stony Brook owns a 7-2 record this season and is 18-5 since Island Federal Credit Union's opening at the start of the 2014-15 season.

As a team, the Seawolves are averaging 62 points per game and shooting at a clip of 41.5-percent from the field. Leading scorer Brittany Snow has reached double-figure scoring 19 times this season, while leading the team in points in 11 games with five double-doubles. Â

Ogechi Anyagaligbo is nearly averaging a double-double with 11.2 ppg and 9.7 rpg. Anyagaligbo has paced the Seawolves in rebounding in 11 of 20 contests as Stony Brook edges opponents on the boards by at least five rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORYSaturday's matchup marks the 30th meeting between the Catamounts and Seawolves, while Vermont leads the all-time series 16-13. Stony Brook has taken seven of the last 10 contests and the teams are tied at seven apiece when playing in New York.
