CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Dana Trivigno led all skaters with four points to lead the top-ranked and undefeated Boston College Eagles to a 6-2 win over Vermont Friday night from Kelley Rink.

Box Score Boston College opened the scoring for the 23
rd time this season with an even strength tally 11:26 into the first period. Megan Keller fired a low wrist shot from the point and freshman forward Makenna Newkirk redirected the puck past Vermont's
Madison Litchfield for her 14
th goal of the season. Trivigno was credited with the secondary assist, her 18
th helper of the year.
The Eagles struck again 2:17 into the second period to double their lead to two. Toni Ann Miano gathered a cross-ice feed from Lexi Bender at the point before firing a wrist shot towards the Vermont net. Litchfield was screened by an BC forward and never saw it as Miano picked up her fourth goal of the season. Trivigno was again credited with the secondary assist.
Boston College made it a three-goal advantage with a power play goal scored at the 15:34 mark of the second period. Litchfield made the initial save on a one-timer from Kali Flanagan but the rebound went right to Andie Anastos who tapped it home for her 10
th goal of the season. Trivigno was credited with her third assist of the night on the Eagles 27
th power play goal of the season.
The Catamounts got on the board with an even strength tally with 2:04 left in the second period. The Eagles Katie Burt stopped an initial shot from
Dayna Colang but
Amanda Drobot kept the play alive gathering the puck and skating behind the net before centering a pass to
Taylor Willard. Willard fired a shot that bounced off the top of Burt's shoulder and in for her third goal in the last three games.
The Eagles pushed their lead back to three as Alex Carpenter picked up her 29
th goal of the season 21 seconds into the third period. Carpenter received a feed from Kenzie Kent in the slot and wired a wrist shot past Litchfield as she picked up her 16
th career point against Vermont.
Trivigno scored her eighth goal of the season 2:06 into the third period to give the Eagles a four-goal cushion. Litchfield made an initial save on Bender, but Trivigno gathered the rebound and slipped a backhand home as BC reached five or more goals for the 13
th time this season.
The Catamounts answered right back on the ensuing faceoff, scoring 12 seconds later. Vermont dumped the puck into the Boston College zone and Willard pinched down the wall to force a turnover before centering a feed to
Saana Valkama who was alone in front. Valkama fired a quick shot past Burt for her third goal of the season to make it 5-2.
Carpenter closed out the scoring with her 30
th goal of the season at the 14:10 mark of the third period. After winning an offensive zone draw Carpenter redirected a Keller point shot past Litchfield. With the assist Keller now has 20 this season.
Burt earned her 51
st career win for the Eagles making 15 saves. Litchfield made a season-high 35 saves in net for the Catamounts.
"We had some good moments in this game despite the score," said head coach
Jim Plumer. "BC is a talented team and there is little margin for error."
