ABOUT VERMONTThe Catamounts have won three straight games over Sacred Heart, Dartmouth, and NJIT to improve to 4-6 (0-0) on the season through 10 contests. Vermont's three consecutive victories are a program-best since the 2011-12 season. They rank third in the conference in 3-point field goal percentage at a clip of 29.2-percent and their defense holds opponents to just 36.3-percent from the field, tied for the lowest percentage in America East.

Vermont's defense also blocks more shots than any other team in the conference (49) and ranks among the top-35 in the NCAA. Behind three players who rank among the top-five in America East, UVM averages 4.9 blocks per game. The Catamounts are a force under the basket, grabbing the most offensive rebounds in the conference (146) and second most defensive rebounds (281).
LAST TIME OUTA late, fourth-quarter rally by the Catamounts at Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center lifted Vermont past the NJIT Highlanders (3-10) 54-46 on Sunday afternoon.

Andreana Thomas posted double-figures for the sixth time this season scoring 15 points and grabbing five rebound
s. Kylie Atwood registered a career-high 14 points with four 3-pointers and
Courtney Wright grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.

Vermont found its rhythm in the third quarter posting a 12-2 run to bring UVM within one possession of NJIT, 40-38. Five Catamounts went 4-for-7 from the field and 4-for-5 from the foul line over the five-minute run before the final quarter. Â

Sydney Smith dished a quick pass to
Candice Wright to give Vermont its first lead of the game (44-42) with 5:28 left to play. A late 10-2 push by UVM in the final three minutes, as Atwood sunk her fourth triple, secured UVM's eight-point victory over the Highlanders.

SMITH IN THE SPOTLIGHTSmith has posted a pair of career performances at Patrick Gym during her sophomore campaign. She registered her second double-double of the year with a career-best 30 points and 11 rebounds against Quinnipiac on Nov. 28, and blocked a career-high six shots in a win over Sacred Heart on Dec. 6.

A HOT START FOR HAYLEYFreshman
Hayley Robertson has made a name for herself at UVM in her short time in Burlington. The Toronto, Ontario native is averaging 8.2 ppg, ranks second on the team with 2.7 assists per game, and paces the squad with 15 steals. Robertson has started eight of Vermont's ten games at guard this season.

ONE MORE TIME FOR THOMASGraduate student
Andreana Thomas joined the Catamounts for her final season of eligibility after overcoming preseason injuries. The Hofstra transfer has recorded double-figure scoring in six of her nine games, averaging 12.1 ppg. Thomas is dishing out nearly four assists per game (3.9 apg) to lead the team and posted a season-best eight assists against St. Francis.

TWO OF A KINDCandice and
Courtney Wright have made a significant impact for the Catamounts as true freshmen this season. The Cambridge, Ontario natives are shooting over 40-percent from the field to combine for over 120 points, and account for 20.6-percent of Vermont's 587 total points. The Wrights have been dynamic under the basket as Courtney has grabbed 44 rebounds and Candice has pulled down 43.

CATS IN THE CONFERENCEFour Catamounts are positioned among the top-10 in seven categories in the America East standings. Smith has been a force on both ends of the floor this season as she leads the conference in 3-pointers made (25) and has grabbed the fifth-most defensive rebounds (53).

Gracia Hutson rank second, third and fourth in the conference in blocks. Thomas dishes out the seventh-most assists per game (3.9 apg) and has the seventh-best free throw percentage in America East by averaging 77.5-percent from the line (31-for-40).
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENSDelaware owns a record of 4-5 before hosting Vermont.
UD head coach Tina Martin is in her 20th season and currently holds a 380-214 (.639) all-time record. Delaware most recently fell to Bucknell 80-51 on Sunday (Dec. 20) in the final matchup of its six-game road trip.

After opening the year with just 24 points and 17 rebounds through four games played, Hannah Jardine has regained her confidence and sharpshooting abilities to average 18.6 points with 3.3 3-pointers per in the past five contests.

Nicole Enabosi opened her collegiate career with three straight double-doubles, becoming the first player in program history to do so. The forward opened the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds versus Lafayette, followed with 10 points and 13 rebounds at Marist, and poured in a season-high 23 points and 10 boards against East Carolina.
SERIES HISTORYUVM and Delaware will meet for the 28th time in program history on Tuesday. The Catamounts lead with a 19-8 advantage over the Blue Hens but fell in the previous two matchups, both in Burlington. The last contest between UVM and Delaware was last season as the Blue Hens topped Vermont 68-46 at Patrick Gym.

WHO'S NEXTThe Catamounts take a week off before heading to Boston for their final road matchup of the year on Monday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. against the Boston University Terriers. Vermont returns home on Wednesday, Dec. 30 for one more non-conference game against Oakland at 2 p.m.
