Tip-off at the Hart Center is set for 7 p.m.

Sydney Smith recorded her second double-double (30 points, 11 rebounds) in six games against Quinnipiac on Saturday. Smith drained seven shots from behind the arc, a personal and a current conference-best, and tallied the most points of any Catamount since assistant coach
Courtnay Pilypaitis posted 36 points during the 2009-10 season. Smith's 11 rebounds were also a career-high, and she is averaging 13.5 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game to lead the team.

The Catamounts (1-5, 0-0) top the conference in 3-point field goal percentage at 31-percent, and their defense is holding opponents to just over 36-percent the field, the lowest percentage in the America East.

Vermont also paces the conference in blocked shots (5.5 per game) behind freshman
Candice Wright, who is averaging 2.0 blocks per game. Graduate student Andreanna Thomas is dishing out 4.3 assists per contest, good for second in the America East.

Smith shot the lights out of Patrick Gym as she drilled five consecutive buckets from downtown during the Catamounts' 16-3 run in the first quarter. Vermont took an early 21-14 lead with 2:02 left in the period as UVM sustained a seven-point cushion after 10 minutes of action.
After the first half, Vermont cut the Bobcats' lead to five (49-44) on a clean jumper from Thomas at the 4:15 mark in the third. Quinnipiac went into the final quarter up 52-48.

Thomas halted an 8-0 Bobcat run in the fourth by drawing a foul and connecting on a foul shot from the stripe, but it was not enough as Quinnipiac maintained its fourth-quarter lead for a 12-point victory.
SCOUTING THE CRUSADERSHoly Cross (1-5, 0-0 Patriot League) earned its first win against Bryant on Sunday when the Crusaders edged the Bulldogs 65-64 at home. The Crusaders were picked to finish second in the league behind Army.

Crusader senior forward Raquel Scott notched her third double-double (35th career) of the season with 10 points and a team-high 13 rebounds against Bryant. Scott was named to the 2015-16 Preseason All-Patriot League Team. She currently leads Holy Cross by averaging 15.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

Infiniti Thomas-Waheed (10.7 ppg, 3.5 rpg), the duo averages 41-percent of the Crusaders' offense.

Bill Gibbons is in his 31st season at the helm of the Holy Cross women's basketball program in 2015-16. He is the winningest coach in the history of the program and entered the season ranked 20th among active Division I coaches and 39th all-time in NCAA history with 569 victories.
SERIES HISTORYVermont has won four straight matchups against the Crusaders as the Catamounts lead the all-time series 8-6. Three of Vermont's eight wins have come on the road at the Hart Center. The teams' last meeting was during the 2009-10 season in Worcester when UVM posted a 78-56 win over Holy Cross.
