Head coach Lori Gear McBride earned her 100th career win as the Catamounts downed Central Connecticut State last Friday 79-63 in their home opener. Vermont held the Blue Devils to 28-percent from the field and 6-for-24 from 3-point range.

The Catamounts made a final push in the fourth quarter with their lead growing as large as 27 in the second half.

Sydney Smith led the way posting her first career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Smith's 10 rebounds were also a career-high. Four Catamounts posted double-figures in points as Kylie Atwood added 12 with a career-high four 3-pointers, Candice Wright collected 12 points while going 6-for-7 from the foul line, while Courtney Wright scored 12 and shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the field.

The Lions are coming off a 70-68 overtime road win over America East foe UMBC last Friday. Tori Oliver netted a game-high 23 points on the day, finishing 10-for-14 from the floor while adding eight rebounds, a pair of assists and a steal.

Alexa Guiliano finished with 17 points after hitting five from downtown, while Camille Zimmerman also finished in double-digits with 15 points after going 6-for-12 from the field.
