BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont Catamounts and UMass Lowell River Hawks played through 110 minutes of soccer, but neither team was able to net a goal in an America East match at Virtue Field on Saturday.

Each team picked up a point in the America East standings with the scoreless draw. Vermont moved to 2-1-2 in league play and 7-5-3 overall. UMass Lowell's record is 2-2-1 in the conference and 7-6-1 on the year.

Shots were even, 4-4 at the half and the Catamounts finished the match with a slight edge, 9-8. UVM held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks in the game.

Greg Walton was credited with four stops in the Vermont net to pick up his third shutout of the year. Austin Kroll made one stop in the UMass Lowell net and earned his seventh clean sheet of the season.

Vermont steps out of conference on Tuesday (Oct. 27), traveling to Hartwick for a 7 p.m. match in Oneonta, New York. The Catamounts will wrap up league play with a home match versus Albany on October 31 (1 p.m.) and travel to New Hampshire for the regular season finale on November 4 (7 p.m.).
NOTE: Saturday marked the third meeting between the two teams since the River Hakws joined America East ... All three matches have resulted in a draw.
