HAMILTON, N.Y. – Vermont's
Ally Ramos made a career-high 15 saves in net, but the Catamounts came away with a 3-2 double-overtime loss to Syracuse on the final day of the Colgate Nike Classic in Hamilton, N.Y. on Sunday.
The Orange took a 2-0 lead 15 minutes into the match. Maya Pitts followed up her own shot that caromed off the post with a header to give Syracuse a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of action.

Vermont climbed back within one in the 56th minute. Freshman
Sarah Martin collected a pass from classmate
Rylee Osgood on the right wing, took one touch and beat Syracuse goalkeeper MacKenzie Moranz for her team-leading third goal of the season.
