HAMILTON, N.Y. – Colgate received goals from three different players to post a 3-1 victory over visiting Vermont in women's soccer action in the Colgate Nike Classic on Friday.
Just before the halftime horn, Jenna Raepple scored off a give-and-go with Emily Manoogian, beating UVM goalkeeper Aly Ramos with a low shot to the far post to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead.
Colgate quickly extended its lead with two goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Caroline Brawner scored off assists from Raepple and Catherine Williams just 49 seconds into the stanza.
Manoogian pushed Colgate's lead to 3-0 with her first goal of the season in the 54th minute. Brawner picked up an assist on the play.

Jessica Silverman was able to ruin Colgate's shutout bid with a blast into the upper corner from the top of the penalty area. Sophomore
Nikki McFarland picked up an assist on the play.
Ramos finished the night with seven saves for the Catamounts, while Brenna Mason was credited with four stops for Colgate.
Vermont moves to 2-2 on the season, while Colgate improves to 2-1-1 overall.
The Colgate Nike Classic resumes on Sunday (Sept. 7) when the Catamounts take on Syracuse at 11 a.m.
