Sarah Truax returned to the UVM Athletic Department in June of 2024.
She joined UVM after working at the Burlington International Airport for nearly three decades. She started at BTV in commercial aviation from 1990-2009 then moved to corporate aviation with Heritage Aviation for the next seven years.
She grew up in Hinesburg with three sisters where her family raised horses, dogs, and sheep. She graduated from the Purnell School in Potterville, New Jersey.
Truax currently lives in Essex with her husband Jeff. Her daughter Taylor graduated from UVM in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in health science. Her son Jeffrey graduated from the Winchendon School in 2020 and will play junior hockey in the upcoming year. In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events on campus, being with friends and family, aviation, and sitting by the ocean.
