Roxanne McDonald begins her 34th year as a staff member of the University of Vermont Athletic Department with the start of the 2019-20 academic year.
McDonald was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations in 2013 and then moved into the role of Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations in 2015.
McDonald is responsible for the department’s overall financial operations including budget development, management and control. She also manages all human resource functions for the athletic department including recruitments, staff classification and compensation issues. McDonald serves on the department’s Senior Leadership Team and Catamounts Professional Development Committee.
McDonald is active in the College Athletic Business Management Association (CABMA) and has been a member since 2004. She has also served on various committees across the University over her 33 years.
McDonald earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Vermont in 1985.
A native of Burlington, McDonald resides in Williston with her children Ashley, a 2015 graduate of UVM and a former member of the field hockey team, and Kyle, a current ice hockey player at Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts.
