Cyrus Carey is the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, Operations in the Department of Athletics at the University of Vermont. Carey serves on the Campus Recreation Student Development Committee and the Athletic Department's Professional Development Committee.
Carey began his career at UVM in 2012 as the Intramural Sports Coordinator before rejoining Campus Recreation as the Facility Operations Manager in 2014. He was promoted to Assistant Directo of Operations in 2016. He also served as a Graduate Associate for Intramural and Club Sports at Springfield College. He is an active member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).
Cyrus earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Vermont and a M.Ed in sport management from Springfield College. Â
A Vermont native, Carey currently resides in Burlington.
