SOPHOMORE SEASON (2023-24):
- At the 2024 America East Championships she set personal bests in the 50 free, (24.36), 100 back (56.33) and the 200 back (2:03.19).
- Her time in the 200 back was good for sixth place, while her time in the 100 back placed her fifth.
- This season she earned 15 top 10 finishes including two first place finishes.
- In the meet with Maine (11/4/23) she earned her first first-place finish of the season winning the 200 back in a time of 2:10.26.
- Against Rhode Island (1/20/24) she earned first in the 200 back with a time of 2:07.94 and second in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.11.
FIRST YEAR SEASON (2022-23):
- She was named the 2023 Most Improved Swimmer which honors a member of the UVM Swimming Team that has showed the most progress throughout the season.
- In the NJIT Invitational she placed fifth in the 200 back with a time of 2:10.16, fourth in the 100 back with a season-best of 58.58 and 10th in the 50 free with a time of 25.58 … She was also the lead swimmer on the 400 free relay team that placed fourth (3:40.24), the 200 free relay team that place third (1:40.46), the 400 medley relay team that placed second (3:58.64) and the 200 medley relay team that placed fourth in a time of 1:51.09.
- At the 2023 America East Championship she set the eighth fastest time in program history finishing the 200 back in a time of 2:03.96 good for eighth place, 15th in the 50 free with a season-best time of 24.43, 10th in the 100 back finishing in a time of 57.76 … At the America East Championship, she set the seventh fastest time in program history in the 100 back with a time of 56.73.
BEFORE VERMONT: Attended James Madison High School graduating in 2022 after being a four-year member of the swim team … Her main events are the backstroke and freestyle … Was named the captain of the varsity swim and dive team during her 2021-22 season … On the Virginia Class 6 State Champion Team in 2019 … Chose UVM because of the supportive and welcoming team environment … Intends to major in Public Health.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Tove and Michael Wainwright … Has one younger sibling.
