SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Saw action in all 17 games ... Started 12 matches ... Scored a goal in a victory over Youngstown State in the second game of the year.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): Saw action in all 18 games and started the final 15 straight of the season … Scored her first collegiate goal in a victory at UMass Lowell and added an assist in a win at Binghamton in the regular season finale that helped Vermont clinch a berth in the America East Playoffs.
BEFORE VERMONT: Phillips, a midfielder, comes to Vermont from Penncrest High School ... She also spent several years playing for the FC Delco ECNL and Penn Fusion ECNL club teams ... Phillips was a member of the Region I ODP and Eastern Pennsylvania ODP programs and traveled to several events with the Region I ODP program, including the Costa Rica International Event in 2010 ... At Penncrest, Phillips was a two-year captain and was named the team's “Best Midfielder” three times ... She was the team MVP in 2012 and selected to the All-Central League First Team in 2011 and 2012 ... She was also a four-time Delco Times All-County Team selection.
PERSONAL: Is the daughter of Wade and Joanne Phillips ... Has an older brother, Wade, who attends Michigan ... Mom played field hockey at Ursinus College and another relative (Carol Roberts) played field hockey at Yale ... Is majoring in human development with minors in psychology and coaching.
