SENIOR SEASON (2016): Saw action in 13 games including spot in the starting lineup in UVM's 2-0 shutout over Central Connecticut (8/26/16)
JUNIOR SEASON (2015): Played in 12 games ... Came off the bench to score the game-winning goal in the America East Quarterfinal game against UMBC ... Marked UVM's first-ever win in the America East Tournament and the match was the first night game at Virtue Field.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Played in 13 games ... Started eight matches ... Posted her first collegiate point with an assist in the season-opening win over Central Connecticut.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): Saw action in 11 games off the bench as a midfielder/defender.
BEFORE VERMONT: Buckhorn, a forward, comes to Vermont from Benilde-St. Margaret's High School in St. Louis Park Minn. and played her club soccer with the Minnesota Thunder ECNL ... The Thunder are a “Top 50 Team” by TopDrawerSoccer.com ... Buckhorn was a member of the Region II Olympic Development Program (ODP) and helped the Minnesota Thunder win three Minnesota State Cup Championships ... The team finished as runner-up at the 2012 ECNL National Championships ... At Benilde-St. Margaret's, she was a member of the “100-point club” totaling 168 points on 59 goals and 50 assists ... She finished her career ranked second in points in the program's history ... She was a two-time member of the all-state team, all-state tournament team and all-metro team ... She was also a four-year member of the all-conference team ... In 2013 she was a candidate for the Ms. Soccer honors in the state and captained the 2013 state championship team ... Benilde-St. Margaret's won four straight conference titles.
