Dan Lensby joined the UVM Athletic Department as an assistant athletic performance coach in August of 2017.
Lensby will oversee and implement annual training programs for women’s soccer, women’s field hockey, women’s lacrosse, women’s swimming & diving, and track & field.
Prior to UVM, Lensby was an assistant strength coach at Saginaw Valley State University where he was responsible for softball, women’s soccer, swimming & diving, women’s tennis, and assisted with football. Before joining the Cardinals, he spent time as a graduate assistant at the University of Mary where his primary responsibilities included oversight of comprehensive training programs for men’s basketball, baseball, and softball.
Before joining the Marauders, Lensby worked as a professional strength and conditioning intern at North Dakota State University where he assisted with all 13 olympic sports. In addition, he also spent time at Marquette University where he assisted with men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s lacrosse and track & field.
Lensby earned his M.S. in Kinesiology, while conducting force plate research at the University of Mary. Lensby has a bachelor’s degree in sports and exercise science with concentrations in nutrition and coaching. He maintains certifications through the NSCA (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW Lv1), and Functional Movement Systems (FMS).
