AS A SENIOR (2013): Named to the America East All-Academic Team … Played in 15 games, started 14 … Finished eighth on the team in ground balls (21), caused turnovers (7) and draw controls (12) … Scored a goal in the team’s 13-7 win over Columbia … Collected one assist each in games against Marist, UNH and Boston U …  Registered multiple ground balls in eight separate contests … Picked up a season-high three ground balls against No. 15 Dartmouth
AS A JUNIOR (2012): Started 12 of 13 games she played in … Recorded two goals and two assists for four points … Added 25 ground balls, five draws and six caused turnovers.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2011): Started all 17 games ... Added two assists versus St. Mary's (Calif.) and scored in a win over Denver ... Collected a season-high five ground balls against St. Mary's ... Finished the year witih 25 ground balls, 17 draws and 18 caused turnovers.
AS A FRESHMAN (2010): Appeared in all 15 games, earned nine starts ... Made her collegiate debut versus Dartmouth ... Made her first career start against Siena ... Scored her first collegiate goal in a win over Jacksonville.
BEFORE VERMONT: Madsen is a native of Guilderland, N.Y. and attended Guilderland High School ... She was a four-year letterwinner on the girl's lacrosse team ... As a sophomore she earned the team's coaches' award ... She was selected as a US Lacrosse First-Team All-American last year and was a US Lacrosse Academic All-American for the second straight year ... Madsen also garnered a spot on the Albany Times Union and Troy Record All-Star teams ... She was named the New York State Scholar Athlete and received the Brine Stick Unsung Here award at the NYS Girls' Lacrosse Championship ... As a junior she garnered a spot on the Suburban Council Second Team, was named the team's most valuable offensive player and earned academic all-America honors ... Madsen was the New York State Scholar-Athlete twice (2007, 2008) ... Led Guilderland to back-to-back Suburban Council Championships and Section II Championships in 2007 and 2008 ... Guilderland earned the Suburban Council and Section II Championship three times ... The team advanced to the state final in 2009 ... Madsen also ran cross country where she was captain twice, and played basketball, earning the team MVP honors as a senior.
