SENIOR INDOOR SEASON (2025): Opened his indoor season with a 10th place finish in the 1000m at the Dartmouth Relays (Jan. 11)… At the Middlebury Winter Classic (Jan. 17-18), Cote ran the 1000m and 3000m, securing fourth and 11th place finishes… Competed at the Riverhawk Invitational (Jan. 24-25), running the mile race… Placed 11th in the 1000m at the Scarlet Knight Open (Jan. 31)… Ran the mile race at the Showdown at The Heights (Feb. 7-8), securing an 18th place finish… Cote competed in the DMR race and 1000m at the America East Indoor Championship (Feb. 22-23), finishing in ninth and 17th place… He closed out the season with a personal best time of 2:31.68 in the 1000m race at the Indoor IC4A/ECAC T&F Championships (Mar. 7-9).

BEFORE VERMONT: From Wilton, CT … Competed in cross country, track and field, lacrosse, and basketball at Wilton High School … Three-time cross country captain, captain of his indoor track team in 2020 and outdoor track team in 2021 … First-team all-state and conference in cross country in 2020 as well as first-team all-state and conference for track … Holds his schools outdoor track record for the 5K.
PERSONAL: Son of David and Meppy Cote … Has two siblings, Jackson and Mackenzie … Chose UVM for the culture of the program, ability to compete at the highest level, and the beauty of Vermont … Lists Steve Prefontaine and Tom Brady as his athletic inspirations … Puts NAV as his favorite artist, Cole Hocker and Jayson Tatum as favorite athletes to watch, the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox as favorite sports teams … He is majoring in Public Communications.
