2013: Started all 18 games … Finished the year with eight points on four goals … Scored twice, including the game-winner, in a 3-2 victory over UMass … Added another game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Hartwick … Finished his career playing in 72 games, starting 70.

2012: Started 17 games … Helped anchor a Catamount defense that finished with the least goals allowed in America East (17).

2011: Started all 17 games he played in during the year ... Scored his first career goal in a 4-1 victory over UMBC.

2010: Played in all 19 games, earning 17 starts ... Made his collegiate debut in the starting lineup in the season-opening win over No. 13 Stanford ... Scored his first career goal in a win over Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

BEFORE VERMONT: Borea spent four years at New Canaan High School and one prep year at South Kent School … Was a three-year varsity starter at New Canaan and served as team captain as a senior … Was named to the All-FCIAC Team as a sophomore and junior … Team won the Connecticut State Championship in 2005 and 2006 … Helped South Kent win the New England Championship in 2009 with a 20-2-1 mark … He named tothe WNEPSA All-Star Team and participated in the New England Prep Soccer Association All-Star game.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Gerardo and AnneMarie Borea … Has three sisters, Kerri, Anna and Gabriella ... Is majoring in medical laboratory sciences.
