2014: Played in 16 games, earning 13 starts ... Posted five shutouts on the season, three in overtime games ... Made a season-high five saves in a 1-0 overtime victory at Binghamton ... Finished the season ranked among the America East goalkeeping leaders: shutouts (3rd - 5), shutouts per game (3rd - 0.31), goals against average (7th - 1.35), saves (8th - 42), saves per game (9th - 2.62), save percentage (9th - .656) ... Closed out his career ranked fifth in shutouts (18), sixth in goals against average (1.07) and seventh in wins (22) among UVM's all-time goalkeepers.
 
2013: Started all 18 games, playing over 1,600 minutes in the Vermont net … Posted seven shutouts and a record of 9-5-3 … Made a season-high eight stops in a 2-1 victory over Albany in the regular season meeting … Finished the season with a 1.05 goals against average and .771 save percentage … Finished the year ranked among the America East goalkeeping leaders in shutouts (2nd), shutouts per game (3rd), saves (3rd), goals against average (5th), save percentage (6th), and saves per game (6th).

2012: Was named the MVP of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Windjammer Classic ... Earned his first career start 9/2 against Oakland … Earned his first career win and shutout in 2-0 win over CCSU ... Ranked first in save percentage in America East (.841) … Posted four straight shutouts in consecutive games between 10/10 and 10/24 … Was named College Sports Madness National Defensive Player of the Week on 9/10 ... Finished the year with seven wins, six by shutout and a 0.81 goals against average ... Ranked 11th in the country among Division I leaders in save percentage ... Selected as the America East Goalkeeper of the Year and was named to the America East All-Conference First Team.

2011: Saw action in two games as a reserve.

AT FRANKLIN PIERCE: Leland comes to Vermont after one season at Division II power Franklin Pierce University … In his one season at Franklin Pierce, the Ravens posted a record of 17-2 and won the Northeast-10 Tournament and Regular Season Championships … the team advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and was the top seed in the tournament.

BEFORE COLLEGE: A native of Richmond, Vt., Leland attended Mount Mansfield Union High School … He led MMU to an undefeated season in 2006, while posting 10 shutouts on the year … He owns the school record in shutouts … In 2009, he was named the team MVP, served as team captain, and was selected to the all-state second team … He also participated in the Vermont Senior Twin State game.

PERSONAL: Is the son of James and Rosemarie Leland … Has an older brother, Caleb … Is a community and international development major at Vermont.
