Mack Walton joined the Vermont men’s soccer program as the Director of Operations in March 2024.
Walton spent the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at UMass where he assisted in recruitment, scouting, and team travel. During his time at UMass, the Minutemen compiled a 14-10-13 record and reached the Atlantic 10 Semifinals in 2023.
While in Amherst, Walton worked with the Western United Pioneers Football Club as the head coach for the U12 and U14 boys’ programs.
Walton’s career has also included roles as a volunteer assistant coach at Clarkson, assistant coach at Rivers Edge Soccer Club, and camp director for Chester Youth Soccer.
Walton played collegiately at Clarkson, where he was a three-year captain of the Golden Knights. Walton earned a United Soccer Coaches All-Region honor in the Fall of 2019 and also received Scholar All-America recognition. He was a mainstay on the Liberty League All-Conference teams during his career at Clarkson. Walton’s playing career also included a stint with Black Rock FC out of the USL 2 in Manchester, Vt.
Walton is a native of Chester, Vt. He graduated from Clarkson in 2021 with a Bachelor of Psychology and added a Master of Business Administration in 2022.
