BEFORE VERMONT: From Mountain Lakes, N.J. … attended Mountain Lakes High School … played both lacrosse and football … tallied 3 assists in 2024 as a defenseman for lacrosse … received the Avery Hal Scholarship … voted for the Hugh Chambers Award (best defenseman) in his senior year … won the lacrosse Sectional Championship in 2023 and 2025. 

PERSONAL: Son of Mark Penniston and Melissa Binz … has three siblings, Margaux, Maddie, and Melina … chose UVM because he loves the cold weather and the outdoors … biggest influence as an athlete has been LeBron James … favorite movie is Good Will Hunting … favorite music artist is Drake … and favorite TV show is Severance.
