Goalie Coach

Fischer enters his third season in 2025 as the goalie coach for the Catamounts.

In 2025, Fischer worked with all four goalies on the roster, as all saw playing time at some point during the season. He helped Ryan Daly in his first year as the starter rank third in goals-against average, second in save percentage, and third in saves per game. All four goalies combined to rank third in saves per game, save percentage, and goals against average as a unit.

In 2024, Fischer oversaw the rise of George Egan, who had appeared in 10 games before this season. Egan’s first season as the full-time starter saw him post a 10.54 goals against average and a .577 save percentage, earning the America East Goalie of the Year.

His primary responsibility is with the goalies, and in 2023, he worked with Matt Shaffer, who posted a 9.77 goals against average and a
.553 save percentage, both of which were good for seventh in the country.

Fischer coached at Norwich University from 2012-2022 as the defensive coordinator and was elevated to Associate Head Coach in 2019. He helped Norwich to three Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championships.

Fischer played at New England College from 2006-2010. He finished with a 9.17 goals against average and a 60.4% save percentage and was captain his senior year.

He is originally from South Burlington, VT. He graduated from New England College in 2010 with a degree in Kinesiology and earned his MBA in Sports and Recreation Management from New England College in 2015.
