Coach Becker on McGlynn: "We expect Four to provide a scoring punch immediately. He could provide a similar role as Joey did last year and I expect for him to help make up for the scoring and outside shooting we lost last year. As with all freshmen though his playing time will be dictated on how quickly he can adapt and play defense."

2011-12 Season: Burst on to the scene as a freshman, leading the Catamounts in scoring (12.0 ppg), 3-pointers made (68) and free throw percentage (88.9) … Played in all 36 games, coming off the bench in each … Was the only player in the nation to lead his team in scoring without starting a game and playing in each … Finished the year second in the America East in free throw percentage, fifth in 3-point percentage (38.0) and 14
th in scoring … Also placed 10
th in the nation, and first among freshmen, in free throw percentage … Netted 17 points on 5-for-7 shooting from 3-point range in his first career game against Big East member South Florida … Reached double figures in scoring 21 times … Tallied 22 after going 12-for-12 from the line in a win over Marist … Had 20 or more points on five occasions … Helped Vermont earn its first America East win of the year with 20 points against Boston U … Netted a career-high 24 in a win over top seed Stony Brook during the regular season at home … Paced Vermont with 18 points in only its second-ever NCAA win, against Lamar.
Prior to UVM: A 6-foot-2 guard who comes to Vermont after attending Dallastown High School … He earned all-county honors in each of his final three seasons after leading the district in scoring each year … Was named third team all-state as a senior and also took home first team all-county honors twice … As a senior he averaged 24 points, five assists and four rebounds a game.
Personal: Is the son of Patrick and Robyn McGlynn … Has two younger siblings, Brandon and Nicholas … Plans to major in business.
