COACH'S QUOTE
"The only thing that resonates with me without doubt is we have the best fans in college hockey," said Head Coach
Steve Wiedler. "It's all we talked about before the game. It's all we talked about in between periods.  Honoring them with work ethic.  We missed the mark on that tonight. We don't have time to lick wounds.  We have to get ready for this playoff game."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After the Catamounts started their six true seniors on Senior Day presented by Widewail (Jellus, Maatta, Walther, Munzenberger, Spitserov and Rancier) Vermont's Keenan Rancier was outstanding in the early going. He made nine saves in the game's opening 10 minutes.
- The Terriers opened the scoring on a five-on-three power play with 6:43 to play in the first. Rancier made several outstanding stops down low, but the rebound caromed to Cole Eiserman who put it home for his 20th goal of the season. Shane Lachance and Ryan Greene assisted on the power play goal.
- Quinn Hutson scored his 19th goal of the season with 4:35 to play in the first period to make it 2-0. Hutson pounced on a loose rebound in the slot, he gathered the puck, spun to his forehand and roofed a shot top corner through traffic.
- BU extended their advantage to three goals during an extended period of four-on-four play midway through the second. On a two-on-two rush Cole Hutson redirected a cross-ice feed from this brother Quinn to make it 3-0 at the 7:56 mark.
- Devin Kaplan made it 4-0 for Boston University with 2:46 left in the second period. His 10th goal of the season was assisted by Tom Willander.
- The Catamounts got on the board 2:25 into the third period. On the backcheck Simon Jellus stripped a BU defender of the puck and broke in on a two-on-one on the Terriers Mikhail Yegerov. Jellus fed the puck cross-crease to Spitserov and he put home his 12th goal of the season.
- Jack Hughes and Quinn Hutson scored later in the third period to seal BU's 20th win of the season.Â
