BURLINGTON, Vt. – In his first appearance of the 2025 campaign sophomore
Max Frattaroli posted a career-high six goals leading Vermont (3-4, 1-1 AE) in a 16-12 win over Bryant (4-4, 1-1 AE) in America East action from Virtue Field Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bryant opened the scoring 3:00 into the first quarter with Max Dantona picking up his sixth goal of the season.
- The Catamounts answered right back with Zach Davis getting on the board just 34 seconds later. Davis' fourth of the year was assisted by Frattaroli.
- The Davis tally started a UVM run to take control of the first quarter. Matthew Drimmie scored a sweet behind the back tally to give UVM a 2-1 edge at the 9:35 mark.
- Pat Coughlin and Carson Eggebraten picked up their first career goals 2:31 apart to give Vermont a 4-1 edge after the first 15 minutes.
- Frattaroli started the scoring in the second quarter with his first goal of the season 1:13 in to make it 5-1.
- Bryant would score the next two goals 24 seconds apart. Zac Amend and Jack Lonsinger made it 5-3. Dawson Rielly added another from Bryant at the 7:10 mark to make it a one-goal game again.
- Frattaroli snapped the Bryant run with his second goal of the afternoon with 6:04 to play in the first half.
- Tristan Whitaker, Zach Davis and Kean Pare scored three goals in 81 seconds to give Vermont a 9-5 lead with 1:08 to play in the half.
- In a back and forth third quarter Frattaroli scored twice in the final 1:24 to send the Catamounts to the final frame with a 14-9 edge.
- Vermont started the fourth quarter with a man-up opportunity and Frattaroli scored his sixth goal of the game just eight seconds in to make it 15-9.
- After two Bryant goals in the fourth Pare's second goal of the game put the Bulldogs out of reach and clinched the Catamounts first conference win of the campaign.
INSIDE THE BOX SCOREÂ

- Sophomore Walther Zhao won 11 of the 14 draws he took Saturday and gathered a game-high eight ground balls.
- Sophomore Ryan Daly made nine saves for the Catamounts Saturday afternoon. He has made nine or more saves in five games this season.
- Max Frattaroli notched his eighth career hat trick this afternoon. He also scored his fifth career game-winner.
- Carson Eggebraten and Pat Coughlin each scored their first career goals in the first quarter.
- Following today's results, the Catamounts are tied for second place with Bryant at 1-1, UMBC and Binghamton are tied for first place at 2-0.
