BURLINGTON, Vt. –  The Vermont men's basketball team won in Patrick Gym against UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon. TJ Hurley led the Catamounts in scoring with 20 points. Sam Alamutu had his 3^rd career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Vermont started the game off on a 12-2 run in the first four minutes of the game. TJ Hurley knocked down a top of the key three from a Shamir Bogues pass.
• At the 12-minute mark, Nick Fiorillo knocked down a right-wing three from another Shamir Bogues pass.
• A minute later, TJ Hurley made a pull up left-wing three to put UVM up 21-9.
• UMass Lowell slowly climbed their way back as Vermont led 26-19 at the 8-minute media timeout.  
• With five minutes remaining, Shamir Bogues hit a spin layup to give UVM a 30-21 lead.
• At the 1:40 mark, a Nick Fiorillo steal led to a Sam Alamutu fastbreak paint finish.
• Vermont led UMass Lowell at the half 41-26.
• UVM started the 2^nd half off on a 12-2 run capped off with an Ileri Ayo-Faleye dunk.
• At the 12-minute media timeout, Catamounts led 59-36.
• With 11 minutes remaining, Jace Roquemore knocked a right-wing three.
• At the 8:30 mark, Sam Alamutu drove to the paint and finished an and-one layup. Vermont led 69-42.
• TJ Hurley knocked down his 5^th three of the game as UVM had its largest lead of the game 78-48.

• TJ Hurley had a team-high 20 points while shooting (6-13) from the field and (5-8) from three. This was Hurley's 9^th game with 20+ points.
• Five different Catamounts were in double-digit scoring against UMass Lowell. TJ Hurley (20), Shamir Bogues (18), Sam Alamutu (14), Nick Fiorillo (12), and Ileri Ayo-Faleye (11).  
• Sam Alamutu had his 3^rd career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. This was Alamutu's 4^th game this season with 10+ rebounds. Alamutu also had a team-high five assists.
• Ileri Ayo-Faleye had a team-high four blocks.
• Shamir Bogues had a team-high three steals.
• Vermont outshot UMass Lowell (57.9%) to (37%). UVM also shot 45.8% (11-24) from three.
• The Catamounts outrebounded the River Hawks 34 to 27.
