BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont men's basketball team won in Patrick Gym against Maine on Saturday afternoon.
TJ Hurley led the Catamounts in scoring with 15 points. With 30 seconds remaining,
Shamir Bogues hit a go-ahead three to take a 52-49 lead.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Vermont scored the first points of the game when Nick Fiorillo scored a hard-earned layup.
- With 16:05 remaining in the first half, TJ Hurley sunk a three-pointer from outside the arc.
- At the 15-minute media timeout, with persistent defensive efforts from both teams, the Catamounts led the Blackbears only 5-2.
- At the 13:36 mark, Nick Fiorillo earned his second layup of the game.
- Less than a minute later, with 12:44 remaining in the half, TJ Hurley scored his second three-pointer of the game, bringing his three-point average to 2-2. Vermont led 10-4 at the 12-minute media timeout.
- With 7:34 remaining in the half, Ileri Alo-Faleye scored his first points of the game, scoring a three-pointer.
- Moments later, at the 7:14 mark, Shamir Bogues made a key defensive steal, drove down the court, and scored a layup. Ileri Ayo-Faleye and TJ Hurley added in a jump shot each. With this offensive push, Vermont extended their lead further.

- At the 14:06 mark, Shamir Bogues scored a driving layup after securing a defensive rebound.
- With 11:31 remaining in the game, Nick Fiorillo secured an offensive rebound and scored a layup, bringing him to 11 total points.

- With 15 seconds left in the game, Sean Blake reported to the foul line, going 2-2 on his foul shots. Shamir Bouges added in a successful foul shot of his own. With these final points, Vermont won 55-49 over rival Maine.
